How to deal with rejection when applying to university

An editorial guide for students facing the common challenge of being turned down by a university they’ve applied to.

This piece was a collaboration with a group of popular student influencers we had worked with previously. They had just launched a new podcast with the first episode covering a relevant topic for our mutual audience. The episode contained a number of personal stories and perspectives that we thought our large audience would value coming from individuals their own age or thereabouts. Therefore, we reached out with an offer to help promote the full podcast by curating a selection of these as part of a new editorial guide on Which? University. In turn, they would promote the guide through their social channels to their own large followings, driving awareness of the W? Uni brand and site.

This was a brand new approach to content creation and marketing for the site. The piece weaved together personal insights, practical tips and onsite resources to support and empower our audience. And while the piece focused on a specific moment in the university application cycle, it spanned a number of areas such as personal development, mental health and wellbeing with advice that could be applied to other aspects of students’ lives.
