The reality of student finance, according to students

Which? University

An editorial guide summarising the results of a student survey covering student finance and budgeting. The guide pulled out half a dozen key findings, digging into the results with interactive graphs and other assets to break up copy.

There were clear onward journeys to deeper finance and budgeting content throughout where users wanted more information.

The bold, editorialised tone of the title was an intentional shift away from straightforward titles (e.g. ‘What students said’) without deviating too far from our tone of voice guidelines. The main image choice - a student sat in a shopping trolley eating an ice cream - was a more nuanced take on the topic of ‘student budgeting’ and a refreshing change from the usual images of calculators or piggy banks with graduation caps.
